In my opinion this is the best sushi restaurant in the lansing area! The staff is friendly, beautiful location, and top quality rolls. The rolls are balanced well and not too big where it is difficult to pick up with chop sticks. The rolls with raw fish are delicious and fresh, and the fried rolls do not disappoint. I have been going here for years and always come back, and would wholeheartedly recommend! (The bento boxes are great too!)

Food is meh, fish doesn’t taste fresh, and the restaurant is always bare. We went in, went to order an egg sushi, and salmon roe, and the waiter Donovan made fun of our order in the back, and proceeded to mock us. We walked in, and weren’t greeted, but instead, Donovan yelled across the restaurant to sit wherever. Incredible experience already. We wanted takeout, so sat by the chairs by the door. Donovan greets us this time by saying, β€œso you’re just hanging out here?”. No. Donovan, we wanted takeout. I then ask for a tamago sushi, and Ikura sushi, which i have never had problems ordering in the past, yet it seemed to puzzle Donovan. When he headed back, we heard him laughing at us, claiming he’s never heard of those before. Weird, seems to forget his job as a waiter is to be a good boy and deliver food to those paying. Once the food was given to us, we asked what was said back there, and Donovan simply stated, β€œnothing in particular”, clearly embarrassed and turned around. Taking my $10 and I’d rather donate it to charity if I’m getting nothing for its value. it might aswell go to a good cause then wasted time. Yikes, never again.

I've been coming here since I started college at 18 ... I'm approaching 26 it's still my go to sushi place!! The eel sauce is my favorite and I cannot eat eel sauce anywhere else personally. A Cali roll and eel sauce is the bomb. Daddy's girl roll is also to die for. Still my favorite sushi place to this day. Sushi is priced well as well!

Celebrating with friends we got the California roll, cucumber roll, spicy tuna roll, yam yam roll and their famous MSU roll with several pieces of sushimi and of course the Miso soup and their ginger soy salad. Can not recommend highly enough. Definitely the best sushi in EL
